Camp amenities
Tsedenlham's family keeps a full range of livestock — horses, yaks, sheep, goats — everything except camels, which don't suit this part of the country. Food can be arranged ahead of time, and the host is known for cooking genuinely good meals for guests passing through, a rare comfort on this stretch of road. Guests can also ride horses, help with the cows, or watch the family's dairy-making process up close. One small detail that stands out here: while most gers in Mongolia use the same white canvas covering, this family's ger is grey, a color the host says holds up better over time and is easier to keep clean than the traditional white.
A welcome stop halfway along the rough track between Bat-Ulzii and Orkhon Waterfall, where a home-cooked meal and a real bed make the detour worthwhile.Approximate location (±3 km). Exact coordinates are emailed about 48 hours before arrival.
